Korean Demilitarized Zone
DMZ · Korea
The technically-still-at-war border across which Sam's platoon, Pahk's smugglers and Kwon's Supreme Guard repeatedly cross. Setting for many of the night-time crossings and the eventual hand-back at Dorasan.
The Korean DMZ is a 250 km strip of land roughly along the 38th parallel, established by the 1953 Armistice. Despite the name it is one of the most heavily militarized borders in the world.
