Admiral Hu

Admiral Hu is the political commissar of the Chinese Pacific fleet supporting the Lubang operation, the Party's man over Pahk's military chain who threatens his subordinate's family to ensure compliance. By the climax he is publicly negotiating with Secretary Dorenza on the destroyer gangway under press cameras when Dorenza ambushes him with a media release exposing his bribery of the Filipino president, the deal he came to ratify collapses on live television, and his Chinese task force is forced to back away from the Spratly confrontation.
